‘From when we first met through to our wedding day, Lucy has been brilliant. Lucy helped to shape our ceremony in a way that struck the right balance between fun and humour, and love and affection. All our guests said it was the best ceremony they'd ever been a part of, it was really inclusive for everyone there, yet intimate for both of us - something we both loved.
Lucy took time to get to know us both, meeting us in London well before the wedding and we worked together to write a fantastic ceremony script. One that told our story in the best way, while keeping parts of it secretive from one another so there were pleasant surprises throughout - it was a really nice touch for us and our guests.

‘We worked with Lucy 10 years ago for our wedding. When we decided we wanted to return to the South of France to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we knew that Lucy had to be part of it. Not wanting to recreate the wedding, Lucy helped us think through what we wanted from the event - celebrating the amazing milestones of the past 10 years, as well as honoring those no longer with us. The ceremony was perfect, and every single friend and family member there remarked on how amazing Lucy is and how special it all was. We are so happy for the chance to work with her again - and our children absolutely adored her! We’re eyeing our 20th and a chance to work with her again.

The weather did worry us somewhat but it also brought its comfort with the lush green grass it encourages. The soft patter of raindrops while we sat in the roundhouse did also comfort us all a bit. Your encouragement on details such as hot chocolate, mementoes, decoration were also brilliant. We have had a weekend planting all the live plants – hellebores and hyacinths and Muscari. It had been a good way to somehow connect with the earth that surrounds us all. I will send an email to Liz to thank her for her help too. ‘Lucy came into our lives by recommendation when my ten children and I were completely lost and wondering just how we were going to organise my wife's funeral and how we would be able have a celebration of her truly amazing life. Lucy quickly and with great sensitivity took charge of us, dealing with the sometimes conflicting views of how we were going to achieve this, and for a long period was to became part of our family. She very quickly organised a beautiful funeral ceremony for immediate family only and and in the following summer a celebration, when we interred my wife's ashes at in the Bath Natural Burial Meadow. Lucy's advice and understanding throughout was quite exceptional and she gave us the very special funeral that we all wanted and a perfect summer party for family and friends which was a celebration that truly matched the brilliance of my wife Gail.

A great officiant takes things off your plate before the wedding and streamlines the rest. Lucy did that in spades. She's knowledgeable, prompt, and always on top of things. And if you don't know exactly what you want for every second of the ceremony, she has a backlog of material for you to choose and use as you see fit. This is one of those little things that you don't think about up-front that is actually quite a big thing in the end.

She was amazing from the first time we spoke to the day of our vow renewal with our family. I probably leaned on her more than most given the surprise nature of the ceremony. She was meticulous with every detail and provided me with a sense of calm every time we chatted. I would also lean on her for her opinions and ideas around some logistics of the day and she was such a resource. I would look forward to our conversations so much as I know I’d leave feeling so impressed with what she was creating for us on the big day.
